Hey! I’m Angela!

I love designing weddings and events around Pittsburgh for those who are laid-back, less traditional, and at least a little eco-conscious. I can help you create an exquisite, sustainable event, whether you are looking to add just a touch of green or "go green" all the way.

But enough about me. This is about you.

  • Your Values

You’re at least conscious of the environment, even if you feel like you could be doing more to protect it. You’ve always felt a little (or a lot) different from everybody else. You don’t like to do everything the mainstream way. (Perhaps you even consider yourself a “hipster” or “hippie”). And you feel the same way about your wedding.

  • Your Vision

Of course you want your wedding to be beautiful and as stress-free as possible, but you also want it to reflect who you are. You want it to be deep and meaningful and to share it with the people you cherish the most. And you want it to be easy on the earth.

  • Your Needs

Perhaps the wedding planning process is quickly becoming overwhelming and chaotic. You’re swimming in a sea of Pinterest inspiration and articles on how to have a zero-waste wedding, and you’re not sure where to start or how to pull it all together. You want to have a unique wedding, but going the DIY route is no longer cutting it. You feel like you need some guidance.

Conscious weddings like yours are what the world needs.

So what if someone could walk you through it all?

Meet Angela

My past experience of setting up and coordinating events in the catering field quickly showed me how wasteful the event industry is. I saw so much food go to waste instead of being consumed or donated and so many disposable plastic items being thrown away on a daily basis.

And after planning and assisting with events throughout the years, I got tired of wondering, “What happens to all the flowers, décor, and boatloads of cookies?!” So I decided to do something about it.

As a Certified Green Wedding Professional, I am trained on knowing how to cut down on waste and avoid fraudulent products that claim to be eco-friendly.

I take the research and hard work off your hands so that you can sit back and enjoy your day.

Working with an eco-friendly wedding planner means…

  • Less Work

Designing and planning a sustainable wedding can take a great deal of research. But an eco-friendly wedding planner already has access to training, resources, and vendors and will do further research for you, thus saving you tons of time and effort.

  • Less stress

Planning a wedding can be stressful enough, and trying to plan an earth-friendly wedding can be even more overwhelming. An eco-friendly wedding planner can tell you where to start and walk you through the various sustainable choices you can make.

  • Less money

One of the potential benefits of greening your wedding includes saving money, as the focus will be on conserving as many resources as you want. Plus, an eco-friendly wedding planner can connect you with more cost-effective options and help you establish and stick to a budget.

“[Angela] knows so much about the industry (I love the eco-friendly twist!), she’s patient, detailed, and thorough. I get a good vibe from her, and I know I can trust her. I told her what I needed, and she got it done.”

My Commitment to sustainability

My commitment to going green stretches beyond the details of your wedding or event. I have adopted sustainable business practices and continuously strive to make greener choices in my daily life.

My Approach

  • Eco-Friendly is more than a theme.

"Eco-friendly" should not merely be the theme of your wedding or event. When you work with me, it will be the underlying approach, thus leaving room for your own theme or color scheme and tons of personalization so that your event is uniquely tailored to YOU.

  • The goal is not perfection.

When it comes to designing eco-friendly weddings, it's nearly impossible to completely eliminate the event's ecological footprint. Instead, we'll work together to reduce the event's footprint, knowing that even a few sustainable choices will make a difference.

  • You're in a Judgment-Free Zone.

Your wedding can consist of tons of sustainable choices or just a few. You’re a hero just for going against the grain and making a few eco-friendly choices, so let’s celebrate that.
